Since I began, Powerlifting, Texas power bars are the gold standard for what we use. My new gym did not have one so I took matters into my own hands, and not only am I happy, but other members to get to use it and they cannot believe what a difference a solid bar makes.

Fit and finish of this bar is absolutely top notch. The camo cerakote is done correctly and uniformly. The cerakote does mildly reduce the bite of the knurling but to me it makes it perfection. The whip is also perfect. If you want high quality, combined with proven track record for big pulls….this is your bar!
I love the knurling grip on the bar, the length of the bar, snd the whip of the bar. I went with the bare/bare version because I like the feel versus cerakote. I store the barbell in a barbell bag and oil the bar once a week or two.

I got to use this TPB for our booth at the CSCCA event, Ben and his team didn't know us from Adam but was kind enough to lend us the bar to display our bench press elite performance bench. The bar makes all the difference for feeling locked in on the grip and ultimately engaging the lats etc. That Buddy Capps knurling is a game changer and the mat finish looks great and performs better. The sleeves keep plates locked it even without clamps (though we still used the.) All in all the bar performed and looked great! Huge thanks TPB Family! You guys rock!

I have a Rogue Ohio bar at my home gym but when I was putting together a small gym at work I wanted to try something different and landed here after all the positive reviews. I absolutely love the All American. It feels “right”. I’ll probably put my Ohio on marketplace and replace it with one of these at some point
Needed a bench bar to train for powerlifting comps. Have several Texas bars, they work great. Hard to find and blemishes on their "blem" bars, never disappointed.
I love this 2 inch fat axle power bar. It really feels like a fat power bar with great and Erling standard barbell sleeves. It’s just a joy to train with mine is the blue version. The only thing would make it better if I knew it was in red or black, but they have other colours for everyone depending on what your favourite colour is. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a high quality knurled axle bar. It’s on My Gym Radar and should be on yours as well.

Using a dedicated deadlift bar makes it so much better. The 27mm shaft and longer bar makes a difference. Very pleased with this purchase and experience with Texas power bars! Great customer service and fast shipping!

The knurling is perfect for squats, because I don't use a wuusy little barbell pad and prefer to raw dog my squats, stays locked on top of the trap shelf as I pump away
Outstanding purchase and I couldn't be happier, although, I may have to pick up the Squat Bar just to compare the two and see if it holds any tangible advantages over the OG TPB
I purchased a Texas Power Bar over three decades ago. It was a great bar. I used it for many years until I gave it to my nephew when he started lifting . The original bar was a great bar, and I always wanted to get another one. When the 7th gen barbell was released, I read all of the reviews, and they were overwhelming positive. I pulled the trigger and ordered a bare steel bar with chrome sleeves. I don't know if there is such a thing as a perfect barbell, but the 7th gen Texas barbell comes damp close. As I have said before, Great Company, Great customer service, a Great American Company.
The quality is amazing. The best bar just bigger. Knurling is superb. I don't have huge hands so it will bring a new challenge for me with deadlifts. I love how it feels in my hands on bench and any pressing movements. Zerker squats feels better on my forearms. No padding needed.
Great bar. I've used it for presses and overhead clean and press. Pressing it worked great and the grip and fell was very good.
On overhead clean press the sleeves worked really smooth during the flip/transition.
Really puts a lot more involvement in the forearms for grip.
I plan to use it for standing curls, deadlifts, not sure about squats yet.
Fit/finish is great. Mine was a tad porky at maybe 56.6lbs but that's fine with me.
Virtually no side to side play on the sleeves.
Sleeves look easy for maintenance with a unique double roll pin setup.
This bar is fantastic. Outstanding feel with the perfect knurl. I can’t say enough about how good the knurl feels in your hands, it’s what I always needed.

I am pretty new to the world of weightlifting, I come from a background of cycling. I realized pretty quick how beneficial strength training was going to be in conjunction with my cycling. I started off with an inexpensive online bar, and after some research I ended up with the Texas power bar. Coming from the world of cycling I already have an eye for detail and appreciation for high-quality equipment. My Texas power bar 29 mm is nothing short of a beautiful piece of equipment that is clearly built to last a lifetime. The knurling of this bar is what brought me to purchase it, even without being able to see or touch the bar I knew from others experiences, this was going to be an incredible experience. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t hesitate on supporting such a great legendary company. I hope to add more Texas bars to my collection in the future as my strength and ability increases so will my collection no doubt.
Top tier bar. I wanted a quality bar with an aggressive knurl. I went with the bare steel after researching numerous bars. I’ve always owned rogue bars but after going with the Original Texas power bar, I’ll be sticking with their product. Highly recommend.
